Sum up of the project!

We can't believe that project Move up to be healthy and happy ends...

It was a great, 2-year, international adventure full of new experiences, ideas and knowledge. We spent a lot of hours on changing children's habits to healthy way of life.

Sometimes it wasn't easy to implement planned activities but it always was a challenge that we tried to meet the best we could.

We conducted:
  • 75 workshops for parents and teachers,
  • 795 P.E. classes,
  • 430 awareness campaigns,
  • 56 sports events.

We educated 7.459 children and 281 teachers!

What makes us most happy is unexpected positive feedback from all participants!

We are more than sure that this project was important for parents, teachers and children and we promise to continue its ideas!

How to build strong bones of our children?

First of all children should eat products rich in calcium and vitamin D. Calcium is a basic, building material for bones and teeth, co children need to eat at least 3 portion of products that will provide them this important element.

What should we eat?

  • natural yogurt, kefir, buttermilk or cottage cheese;
  • leafy vegetables;
  • pulses;
  • broccoli and brussels sprouts;
  • almonds and nuts;
  • fish, that are not only full of calcium but also vitamin D.

Don’t forget about walking in the open air! Only 15 minutes of walk, especially in sunny day, will give you proper portion of vitamin D.

Take care about physical activity of your kid – sport allows calcium to build up in the bones.

We don’t have to worry about Christmas!

Can you imagine that almost 3-year old elves are preparing Christmas?

Yes, they are! We saw them in Gdynia during the event called “Elf, move up!” that was organised by Gdynia Sports Centre as a part of the project Move up to be healthy and happy. Elves definitely couldn’t be bored, they had a lot of work! All the tasks weren’t easy – warm up with Zumba dancer, climbing and jumping on slides, basketball, football, rugby and handball trainings, but also supporting adults in solving very difficult quiz about health!

Now, we are more than sure, that Christmas will be healthy and happy :-)
