We came back with awareness campaign into Gdynia!

Gdynia Sports Centre, as a leader of the Move up project, got positive decision from European Commission to organise additional health classes for students in Gdynia.

Today, we have started third part of awareness campaign in primary schools! Children will sum up their knowledge, that they gained during previous lessons and get new one about choosing good .... eggs:)

What does the number 3, 2, 1 and 0 on eggs mean? Why it is so important to wash up hands after touching eggs? How often should we eat eggs and in which products they occur?

All these questions will find answers during our classes:)

3...2...1 START

Emotions for everyone
XII edition of MTB Gdynia Marathon behind us. During the two-day competition there were over 700 participants, including over 300 children and youth.

8 different distances were prepared in this year's edition.
On the first day we could admire the competition three of them: 20, 40 and 60 kilometers. The choice of the distance was determined by the competitor during the race. Thanks to this, everyone can look at the distance for their strength. On Sunday we could admire the struggles of children and youth. On that day the distance ranged from several hundred meters to several kilometers.

Organizing the competition we are trying to prepare a comprehensive offer for people of all ages - says Marek Łucyk, director of the Gdynia Sports Center. We are looking forward to seeing the whole family. This year the youngest participant was just over two years old, and the eldest was born in the 1950s - nearly seventy age difference.
That's awesome! "He adds.

Active rainy day

Rainy day? Don't be afraid we have a lot of ideas to spend this day in an active way. Just move the imagination and find some free place at home.

1. Hopscotch - is a children's game that can be played with several players or alone. Hopscotch is a popular playground game in which players toss a small object into numbered triangles of a pattern of rectangles outlined on the ground and then hop or jump through the spaces to retrieve the object.

2. Homemade Twister game - The referee spins the spinner, then calls out the body part and the color that the arrow points to. For example, the referee may call out: "Right hand, red." All players, at the same time, must then try to follow the referee's directions as explained below.
Each player must try to place the called-out body part on a vacant circle of the called-out color. For [example, if the referee calls out "Right hand, red," each player must try to place a right hand on any vacant red circle.

3. Indoor bowling - If you raid the contents of your recycling bin you'll find a material to use for fun recycling games with the kids.
Using the black marker, number the bottles from 1 - 12. This will be the point scored for each bottle when it is knocked down.
Set up the bowling alley in the hallway - placing the bottles at the end.
Get kids to take turns bowling the ball, knocking over the bottles, then collecting them again in the washing basket and re-setting them for another go. You can score points or not. They'll mostly just love knocking the bottles over!
