Mega Sports in Lousada

Last weekend took place Mega Sports event, with the participation of students from different schools in the municipality and with age between 04 and 10 years old. The main subjects of the classes were volleyball and tennis, the classes were organized in the Sports Complex of Lousada. Activities were conducted in cooperation with Town Hall and local sports clubs.

5 colors of fruits and vegetables


I. RED
Fruits and vegetables: tomatoes, red peppers, cherries, strawberries, raspberries, cranberries, red grapefruit, pomegranates.

Impact:
  • support the immune system,
  • protect against heart disease,
  • source of antioxidants,
  • source of vitamins A, C, K, B6, manganese, potassium, folic acid and fiber,
  • strengthen the circulatory system,
  • protect against free radicals,
  • anti-inflammatory effect.   
       
II. ORANGE AND YELLOW 

Fruits and vegetables: carrots, oranges, pumpkins, corn, bananas, apricots, melon, mangoes, pineapples.

 Impact:
  • contains primarily β-carotene dye,
  • protects the skin against sun rays and aging,
  • provides a nice looking skin,
  • affects the eyesight,
  • contains vitamin C- strong antioxidant,
  • strengthening the walls of the blood vesselsi,
  • increasing the absorption of iron from plant products. 







III. GREEN 
Fruits and vegetables: spinach, lettuce, rucola, kale, peas, broccoli, asparagus, brussels sprout, cucumber, avocado, kiwi. 

Impact:
  • contains lutein, which counteracts diseases of the retina of the eye
  •  they work against cancer


 



IV. WHITE
Fruits and Vegetables: Garlic, Onion, Shallot, Pork.

V. PURPLE

Conference "Gdynia, move up"

On 7th October a sum-up conference “Gdynia, move up” was organised by Gdynia Sports Centre. The conference was devoted to teachers, head of schools, represents of health institutions and parents who treat seriously their children’s future.

At the beginning, Director of Gdynia Sports Centre, Mr Marek Łucyk opened the conference with presentation of wide sports offer for citizens of Gdynia. Katarzyna Kohnke, coordinator of the project, presented project Move up to be healthy and happy informing about all the partners, activities and statistics.

Many interesting topics were raised to show the importance of healthy way of life. Participants could hear lectures such as:
  • How to ensure the balance in the system between children – parents – teachers.
  • Me, in the school area.
  • Meals for the effort. In the school bench and on the pitch.
  • All this sugar.
  • Poor eater, who is that?
  • I’m active.
The conference was conducting in a very friendly atmosphere with positive feedback from participants.

We are more than sure that despite the fact that there are a lot of information in the internet, people still need meetings with specialists face to face to talk about health!
